Spain is a wonderful country where you spend some years studying. Good weather, food, nice people… everything is perfect if you are a student. There are important universities, mostly in Madrid and Barcelona, where you can get an extraordinary education. Also, to study in Spain allows you knowing a new language as Spanish, the second most spoken language all over the world. This is something very important, for example, to work in South American countries, where its economy is increasing.

Spain is a country with a wide educational history. Here there is some of the oldest universities in Europe, like the Salamanca one, an university that was founded more than four hundred years ago. There are other important universities, in Granada or Santiago de Compostela.

These are cities where its universities are the thing most important and where the student environment is spectacular. There are young people everywhere, and living is not something expensive. Students from all the countries in Europe come to Spain to study.

You’ll be able to meet people from France, Italy, Belgium, Germany… All the people that have studied in Spain remind it as something very special.

To work after studying in Spain is possible, despite of all the economic problems they are having. Among the jobs most demanded in Spain are the jobs related with law. You only can make a search in any job search engine to check how many companies are demanded law professionals.

Search like “job spanish opportunities” or “solicitors Malaga” are able to show it. Foreign people have an advantage. This is the language. In Spain, to be able to speak English is something very valued. So, if you can speak Spanish and English, is very probably that you can get a good job. The reason is the huge number of international companies that are working in this country.

They offer a wide range of qualifications, including academic qualifications such as A levels, as well as technical, vocational and professional courses for individuals and businesses. Students are recruited across all age ranges, from 16 upwards.

Colleges also work very closely with businesses, developing tailored courses to upskill the workforce. Many college students are in employment and study at college part-time.

International students at a college in Wales may study:
English

High education in different counties has both common and distinguishing feature. Higher Education development in India and China closely depends and parallels their economic growth, especially over the last couple of decades.

It is a fact that high education in India has come in for major expansion, and expansion has been fast paced since the beginning of this millennium. Since the dawn of this millennium, as many as twenty thousand colleges have come under its extensive purview. With well over eight millions of students in fray, the scheme of higher learning is not only extensive but also competitive. System includes some of the best universities. Central, state, private as well as deemed universities are there to channelize the different objectives of specialized learning. Autonomous institutions set up and certified by UGC look after the prospect of accreditation. Whether it is a center of generic learning or a specialized faculty of learning, any institution of formal learning requires accreditation. This is exactly what is handled by these autonomous bodies.

Since there are plenty of streams to come by, with each being distinctly diverse from that of the other; every individual stream is managed by a specific apex body. Engineering, medical, business management and lines relevant to scientific and agricultural research are channelized by boards responsible for accreditation. All Indian Council for Technical Education is there to monitor the functioning of engineering colleges. The centers of business learning are also monitored by ‘AICTE’. Besides central and provincial governments, private institutions and big players from the corporate sectors are also found financing the different channels of higher learning.

Some of the best universities of India are acclaimed world over for their in-depth focus on different streams of learning. Research based orientation is the guiding motivation of higher learning. If you consider the Asian perspective, Indian universities are high in demand, with students hailing from different parts of the continent including Bangladesh, Malaysia, Sri Lanka and Maldives. The different institutes of higher learning present a holistic look to the concept of education. Just as, you can avail of streams which are uniquely technical and business oriented in nature; similarly you can avail of streams which are purely humanistic. From ancient linguistic streams such as Pali and Sanskrit to the trendy nuances of fashion designing and SEO study; higher education in India is in its swinging spree of development.

Fireflies, also known as lightning bugs, these “specks of living light twinkling in the dark” are very familiar to all of us. But dont you really know why do they light up?

Actually fireflies produce a chemical reaction inside their bodies that allows them to light up so amazingly.
Well, what’s going on? Scientists finally have explained all details of this multi-colored glow that make us happy every time we see fireflies in the night forest or sea. This romantic phenomenon beetles use not only to communicate with each other and to attract sexual partners. Fireflies appear to light up for a variety of reasons. Fireflies appear to light up for a variety of reasons.

The larvae produce short glows and are primarily active at night, even though many species are subterranean or semi-aquatic. Fireflies produce defensive steroids in their bodies that make them unpalatable to predators. Larvae use their glows as warning displays to communicate their distastefulness. As adults, many fireflies have flash patterns unique to their species and use them to identify other members of their species as well as to discriminate between members of the opposite sex. Several studies have shown that female fireflies choose mates depending upon specific male flash pattern characteristics. Higher male flash rates, as well as increased flash intensity, have been shown to be more attractive to females in two different firefly species.

So, the fireflies contain specialized cells in their abdomen that make light. These cells contain a chemical called luciferin and make an enzyme called luciferase. Found that the color of light from firefly luciferin molecule is determined by the change in the weak electric charges in its oxidizing enzyme.

The luciferase speeds up the reaction, which occurs in two steps:

1. The luciferin combines with adenosine triphosphate (ATP), which is found in all cells, to form luciferyl adenylate and pyrophosphate (PPi) on the surface of the luciferase enzyme. The luciferyl adenylate remains bound to the enzyme: luciferin + ATP ————-> luciferyl adenylate + PPi

2.The luciferyl adenylate combines with oxygen to form oxyluciferin and adenosine monophosphate (AMP). Light is given off and the oxyluciferin and AMP are released from the enzyme’s surface: luciferyl adenylate + O2 ————-> oxyluciferin +AMP + light

And today genetic engineering can include luciferin in the most unexpected organisms and create glowing in the dark fish, Christmas Christmas trees or anything elese.
